Heart Disease: The Deadly Inner World of Sin.  
Sundays, February 22 - March 22
Since the early centuries of the church certain sins have come to be known as deadly.  These persistent and pernicious behaviors, while not listed as a group in scripture, have a resonance and application that are timeless.  Lust, greed, envy, pride, sloth, wrath, and gluttony continue to haunt the life of God’s people throughout the ages.  This Lent we want to look at the attitudes that orient us toward these destructive behaviors, and how we as Christians can move beyond these to health.  We need to have a heart checkup.

A Lenten Journey Through the Ten Commandments

As a preparation for Holy Week and Easter, the season of Lent calls us as individuals and communities to repentance and renewal, a process of dying to old ways and being renewed to new life. The Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 call us to deepen our commitment to a gracious God whose desire is for the flourishing of life in community. Join us for a five part class with Princeton professor of Old Testament theology, Dr. Dennis Olson, who will explore the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 as important resources for a number of pressing issues of faith, life, community, and world today.
