Have you ever waited years for a prayer to be answered and wondered if God forgot about you? The story of Abraham and Sarah shows how difficult the space between a promise and its fulfillment can be. Even when we doubt or try to take control, God remains faithful because His plans depend on His power, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Listen/watch now to discover how to wait well and trust His timing! #FaithInTheWaiting #GodsPromises #AbrahamAndSarah #TrustGod
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
God's plans depend on His faithfulness rather than our perfection. Take some time to reflect on where in your life you need to stop trying to control the outcome and simply trust Him. Remember that waiting is not an empty void, but the very space where faith is formed. Consider how you can actively walk with God and keep showing up while waiting for an answered prayer. Finally, know that God meets our honest doubts with compassion and fulfills His ultimate promises in Jesus. Think about what honest doubts you are holding onto and bring them openly to God in prayer.
SERMON SERIES
Have you ever wanted to read the Bible? Or wondered what it's really all about? Here's your chance. Beginning September 20th, we are reading through the narrative of Scripture together, as one church family, over one year. "The Story" is the Bible's own text, arranged in 31 easy-to-read chapters (with some sections edited or summarized) that let the grand sweep of the narrative shine through – from creation, through Moses and David, to the Messiah Jesus and the birth of the Church.
