As humans, we don’t always welcome interruptions. They mess with our agendas, our carefully balanced schedules, and our expectations. But could some of these interruptions be God attempting to get our attention? What if allowing ourselves to be interrupted by the needs of others were exactly the kind of divine detours Jesus was calling us to take? The announcement of Jesus’ resurrection interrupted the course of history. It was unexpected and disruptive to his first followers, and it continues to interrupt our lives today. Join us as we explore how the good news of Jesus’ resurrection changes our own trajectories, expectations, and priorities.
🤔Sermon Reflection: The apostle Paul's journey began not lost, but at the height of his position before Jesus rerouted his path dramatically on the road to Damascus. Unlike the narrative often found in "Amazing Grace" about being found after being lost, Paul's experience, and often our own, is one of redirection. God calls us, interrupting our planned course, to use the gifts, talents, and treasures He has given us to spread good news and impact the lives of others. We may not always be seeking this change, but God is actively nudging us. Are you feeling a nudge from God to do more for Him? What might your unique rerouting look like? How can you respond to God's call and make a difference? We are all gifted by God and called to acknowledge and act upon His redirection in our lives. 🙏🛤️🧭
