SS Registration Form 2019-2020
We are very excited about the 2019-2020 Sunday School year. We will begin our year with our Core Curriculum, teaching the kids beliefs, prayers, scripture, and worship elements specific to our faith. Each grade will pursue a different topic such as The Lord’s Prayer in 1st Grade, the Ten Commandments in 3rd Grade, and the Apostles’ Creed in 5th Grade.
In January, APC will begin a year-long celebration of APC’s 300th anniversary! And, in Sunday School, we will begin to use “The Story” curriculum. “The Story” is a version of the Bible which is written chronologically and reads like a novel! The kids will receive their own “Story” Bibles to read! As a whole church, we will read the Old Testament of the Bible from January through May; and, when we return in September, 2020, we will read the New Testament through December! It will be an amazing adventure for kids and adults alike!
If you are looking for a place to get involved, opportunities exist for Large Group storytellers and/or scenery and props partners, as well as Sunday School Teachers. If you are interested, please reach out to Maureen Harshman (PreK-5th) at maureen@allentownpresbyterian.org.
We look forward to having you and your children join us on Sunday mornings as we go deeper into God’s Word, furthering our understanding of the immense love God has for each one us.
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:14-15
