Yet we in the Church are called to live in a radically counter-cultural way: to resist division and “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). For as Augustine put it, “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.”
