What would your final words be if you knew your life was coming to an end? Looking at the final words of Moses in Deuteronomy reveals what it truly means to leave a lasting legacy of faith. Because people are so prone to forget, faithfulness requires daily remembering that God is always present. Moving forward means letting go of control, trusting God with His mission, and investing in the next generation. Listen now to discover how to trade control for trust in Jesus! #Deuteronomy #TrustGod #FaithLegacy #LetGoAndLetGod #Jesus
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Take some time to reflect on the three core challenges from the life of Moses and apply them to your own walk with God. First, remember that faithfulness is a daily remembering of how God has been with us all along, and ask yourself what specific habit you can practice daily to remember His truth and faithfulness. Second, recognize that God asks us to open our hands and let Him be in control of the blessings He gives us, and identify where in your life you need to trade control for trust in Him. Finally, understand that leaving a legacy is about investing in other people and passing the faith on to the next generation, and prayerfully consider who your Joshua is that you can begin investing in right now.
SERMON SERIES
Have you ever wanted to read the Bible? Or wondered what it's really all about? Here's your chance. Beginning September 20th, we are reading through the narrative of Scripture together, as one church family, over one year. "The Story" is the Bible's own text, arranged in 31 easy-to-read chapters (with some sections edited or summarized) that let the grand sweep of the narrative shine through – from creation, through Moses and David, to the Messiah Jesus and the birth of the Church.
