Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “Offering Our Story”
Scripture: Deuteronomy 26:1-11
Preacher: Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson
Opening Scripture can often feel like being dropped into a foreign land without a map or guide. Navigating the sheer size and history of the Bible easily leaves many readers feeling lost and disconnected. By exploring ancient stories of remembrance and walking the Emmaus road with Jesus, Scripture transforms from a confusing collection of texts into a continuous, life-giving story of redemption. Take a step toward engaging God's Word alongside a supportive community! #BibleStudy #ChristianFaith #Scripture #SpiritualGrowth #WalkWithJesus #TheStory
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:Take time to reflect on your journey with Scripture by identifying mentors and trusted resources that make the Word easier to understand. Look back at where God has brought you from, thanking Him for His rescue and daily provision in your life. Finally, read a passage from the Gospels with fresh eyes, asking God to reveal His character, affirm that you are His beloved child, and help you view His entire Word as a personal love story meant to guide how you live. Be sure to join us each week as APC shares "The Story."
SERMON SERIES
Have you ever wanted to read the Bible? Or wondered what it's really all about? Here's your chance. Beginning September 20th, we are reading through the narrative of Scripture together, as one church family, over one year. "The Story" is the Bible's own text, arranged in 31 easy-to-read chapters (with some sections edited or summarized) that let the grand sweep of the narrative shine through – from creation, through Moses and David, to the Messiah Jesus and the birth of the Church.
